Dr. Crys Rivers joined Thomson Memory & Attention in 2023 as a Clinical Neuropsychologist. Dr. Rivers provides evaluations to patients with known or suspected neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodegenerative disease, chronic pain, chronic medical conditions, and various psychiatric disorders. She is licensed in both Minnesota and Iowa.
Prior to joining Thomson, Dr. Rivers served as Clinical Director and Neuropsychologist at CIPS where she was responsible for practice-wide leadership and management of clinical service delivery. Prior to her clinical training and career, Dr. Rivers served in leadership and management roles across industries that included software, publishing, and healthcare.
Dr. Rivers’ research interests and publications cover a range of lifespan mental health areas, such as resilience-based interventions for PTSD, the effects of chronic pain on affect/ mood, the effects of early trauma on daily event reactivity, and a systems-based definition of resilience.
